This is a moderate-grade trail. Its route uses backroads, road reserves and private property, so check the current trail notes and maps before setting out. Maps are available online or from the Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre.
Make a day of it
The route passes cellar doors, restaurants and cafes, making it a practical way to combine a long walk with Clare Valley food and wine. The six stages are each designed as an approximately one-day walk, with distances ranging from 13.5 km to 23 km.
